MHSAA has these ...and we had to have them add in Richardson fitted caps because the Smitty Flex Fits just don't cut it behind the plate.  Nice for the field, but ....

Jeff, was it due to the flex fit not keeping the hat tight enough or some other reason?  I've gone to fitted plate hats because the flex fit doesn't keep my hat snug enough with a mask on.

To be fair though, it was the old Smitty hats and not the new ones.  The new ones look much cooler and I'm interested to try some out, but will probably wait until Spring.

Yeah, they just didn't have the "gusto" to hold up and support you working the plate.  Love them on the bases, but .....   Had to order a Richardson for plate for this year, but ....it'll be for next year
