Anyone else noticed the KBO plate guys seem to avoid the slot and set up in the middle or even on the outside corner?

Yeah, I noticed that too. They seem to be squared off and directly over the catcher's head. So much for getting in the slot.

They must have gotten their instruction from somebody who thinks that works. Frankly, as many KBO umps who have been demoted this year for ball/strike "screw-ups," maybe somebody should tell them to change their stance for calling balls and strikes, lest they be banished to KBO minor leagues!

The plate umpire in last night’s Dinos vs. Eagles game worked the slot. First guy I’ve seen do that
