Not saying I would have got it in real time, but it looks like he lifts and drops his heel before stepping off. The only good look is right at the start.

I'm not that good. Not sure I'd ever be able to grab that. Good catch though. Nice clip

Whenever a runner "leaves early" (walk off from first, or steal of home are the most common), the umpire should be on high alert for a balk.
