I'm pretty interested in getting the Mizuno plate shoes because they look so similar to the NB 450s.  My question to you guys is were the NBs genuine or synthetic leather? I think I read that the Mizunos are synthetic. If they're anything like the latest NBs (460s?) then I don't want them. I have a white scuff from a ball that I can't get off and also a cut from a catcher stepping back on them.

I’m not sure about the leather type, but i know of several MILB umpires that wear the mizuno plate shoes and won’t wear anything else. I’d get them if they made a size 13 but they don’t go above a 10

Great! I may pull the trigger in the next couple of days as I may want to wear them for my last tournament of the year.

OK so next question lol...are they true to size?

I have wide 8 1/2 feet. Bought an 8 1/2. Had them for two weeks. Fit great.

There is a online store for Walters shoe care. They have a leather cleaner that works on both real and synthetic leather. Works great on cleaning the upper.
