batter interference catcher throw

runner on third.  one out. two strikes.  batter swings at pitch and misses.  while his follow throw has hands in air, still in batters box. Catcher throws to third either for a back-pick of runner or because he forgot runner on third. ball his batters hand.  ump rules interference and call runner at third out.  What is rule if batter still box.

I'm a little unclear on what you mean by the batter was "still in the box."

If you mean the batter remained in the box, then there's not enough information to answer.  If you mean the batter was "motionless" in the box, then this would not be INT -- but maybe the umpire saw it differently..  The batter is allowed to complete his normal swing, but cannot makes "any other movement" that results in hindering the catcher

Odds are this all happened rather quickly with no pause by the catcher and the batter completing his normal swing. If those assumptions are correct then I think we need to know what rules the game was being played under. In OBR (official rules of baseball) this is likely a dead ball and runner simply returns as long as he wasn't out on the throw. The FED (high school) rules guys will have to check me but I think this is interference in those rules.

That only applies if it's backswing (OBR) / follow-through (FED) INT -- not the case as I read the OP
