I don't think this has been posted yet.  But a very rare scenario and ejection regarding a first baseman's mitt.

But -- some umpires (or crews) have forced a switch.  And, I wouldn't rely on the scoring rules as precedent for a play ruling.

I do think MLB will have to clarify now that this type of positioning is becoming more prevalent.

So, did the Brewers manager get tossed for prolonged arguing, or for "allowing" use of illegal equipment?

Anthony Rizzo was made to switch out his 1st Baseman's glove at least twice this year when Javi Baez assumed a position closer to 1B and Rizzo set up to charge the bunt.  It was brilliant in the post season, as it was actually a pre-designed pickoff of R1 from F2 to F3 (Baez) and Rizzo got his glove back .....
