You're reasoning is wrong. It was the bottom of the sixth, the home team was winning, and time expired. I'm not sure where the conceptual hurdle is here.

What issue do you have with her opinions on the coach? It sounds like the coach was being a douche-nozzle. B*tching about not getting extra minutes because the umpire broke her toe, in *preseason* game, when you're losing by 6 runs. That's putting the "rat" in "rat".

From the other posts I've read from the OP, she manages the game well and doesn't go looking for confrontation, as you seem to be worried about.

Still can't figure out if you're trolling or not..

Matt,

And how it did grieve MacBeth, Did he not straight in pious rage, the two delinquent tear.

In my parts, there are two reasons for a time limit. One, there is a game following, and two, the Nocturnals are wanting to take the field. Sometimes, coaches complain when you assert the last inning (we have as open) 20 minutes before time, but I have done games where my partner said at 15 to game limit, sure we will play another before open inning and had the owls and raccoons being the only ones being able to see the ball.

Heaven forbid, we have to add stoppage time to baseball games. Because then we have to decide when and what to add to the time.

Hey coach, maybe if you hustled your team on and off the field, you would have made up those minutes

Hey coach, may be if you did not have your hitters step out after each pitch to take signs, you would have made up those minutes.

Hey coach, may be if you did not tell your batters to take pitches so they can walk rather than hit, you would have made up those minutes.

Hey coach, may be if you did not get your pitcher to throw over 10 times every time you had a runner on first, you would have made up those minutes.

Way too many factors that affect the duration of the game. @Tksjewelry get well soon.

Yes. If you're going to do something asinine like put a clock on a baseball game, you need to make allowances for things that affect that that are not part of the normal course of the game.

I disagree. Everyone is on the same clock by the same rules. Whatever happens in that time span, happens. It's all part of the game. Would you also stop the clock when a coach argues, someone calls time or has to tie a shoe?

Again, I've already addressed this.

Now I know what you meant when you said you were out for two weeks! Sucks and hope you feel better. At least you won't forget your shoes next time.

As far as the coach, I'd be tempted to eject him but that would probably be the wrong move.

Thanks guys, I'm very appreciative.

@huskerump22 yeah, UIC put me in the office til I'm released. Good thing too after today! Canceling games (and moving a varsity tournament) for air quality, in Omaha Nebraska!? What the begeezes? I was at the office for 12 hours and I have to be in early straight through the weekend.
