Umpire had a great look at this play - 4 man rotation is a beautiful thing. Umpire stays right on the catchers glove side hip, right on top of the play.

That's a really outstanding call.  Was thinking he was almost too close to see the tag and the touch, but obviously not.

Those guys do a great job on tag plays, and the players make it tough on them. That was a great slide, F2 had the plate blocked with his right knee and the runner got his hand between F2's knees to make the touch.

Great call and it was cool to watch him just make the adjustment step to see it. That is what experience and great training can do for you

He looks out to me with frame by frame replay.  Nice mechanics, though.

IMO in this picture he is out - he is tagged on the face before the fingertip gets to the plate.  I must say though, great mechanics by Will Little the 1B umpire

Amazing that he could see the touch of the plate (if he truly did) - the catcher's really blocking his view from the 1B side.
