Plate assignment

I've just been informed I have the plate for the NJ section 1 LL championship game tomorrow. Pretty excited. We've got a lot of good umpires in the area and I'm honored to get this assignment! Hope I don't suck!

What happened to the rotation? When a crew does a series nobody outside decides the next plate. But yes I know it does happen and the crew acquiesced.

It isn't the same crew for the whole tourney. There were about a dozen of us that worked various amounts of games over the past week. It's volunteer so we gave our availability and the assigner took it from there.

I didn't suck! I felt great all night and had a great zone. I really felt like I belonged there and was in control all night. Very minor chirping from the peanut gallery and nothing from either bench. The Sommerset Hills team from NJ looks pretty strong. It would be a blast to see them advance to Bristol.

 The Sommerset Hills team from NJ looks pretty strong. It would be a blast to see them advance to Bristol.

They're real close to Bristol. They've won the first two games in the 4 team state double elimination Tourney, 21-0 and 12-1 to advance to the championship games. I'm telling ya, this team looks good. Not sure if the pitching is Williamsport worthy, but the hitting is some of the best LL majors hitting I've ever seen.
