I guess I'd like to know how many reviews were also ruled as "stands"?    If I missed that stat in the article, I'm sorry....

What this is telling me is MLB Umpires have about a 50/50 chance of getting a close call correct!

Yes, 53% includes confirmed and stands.

 

The 50/50 conclusion covers calls reviewed via replay, not all close calls. Umpires are still about 80% accurate for all close calls—Managers, for the most part, are somewhat effective at choosing which calls to challenge.
