Did McClendon want to get run?  I mean .... explanation from Nelson should have been easy ... Lloyd, ... he was around second when the ball hit the ground ....

Not sure what Lloyd's argument was.  I'm guessing he wanted BR placed at 2B.  He clearly would have made 3B...without a throw, no less.  Jackson threw the ball to 2B.  They got the placement right AFAIC.

I think Lloyd's argument was that the U2 signaled home run, which caused the outfielders to hold up on playing the ball.

Which is complete and utter horsesh!t.  Jackson was hustling to get the ball and throw it in.  Grossman makes third easily on that play.
