What mask is this?

[acpar72]

I have a couple more for us to try and identify as well.  Here is the first one...

the first one is the mizuno titanium mask

[JaxRolo]

Second one is HUGE

[acpar72]

@the_umpire you are correct

[Mahoney]

2nd one looks like a modified Easton catcher's mask.  Although, back in 2011, perhaps it didn't have the support bars on the ear guards.

@Mahoney – As an Easton Speed Elite owner, I can tell you that that is not a Speed Elite. It may be one of their older ones, as you noted, because as @JaxRolo pointed out, it's got quite an edifice to it. I look like a radar array when I've got mine on.

@acpar72 @the_umpire – Mizuno makes a titanium mask?? Huh... That would be the first titanium mask with the extended crown guard, then. I'm looking at that photo, figuring it to be a Diamond DFM-UMP (iX3 line), but that horizontal ear-guard strut is throwing me off. Well spotted.

[Mahoney]

I took an image of the easton mask and altered it by removing the ear guard supports on the left side.  How close is this to the mystery mask?

[MadMax]

So what is it, @acpar72? Do you have the answer(s) and are quizzing us? @Mahoney has the best evidence that it's a 2011 variant of an Easton .... something something.

[acpar72]

I only knew the first one.  I am going to text Carlos and ask him what that mask is/was.

[acpar72]

It is an Easton

[Mahoney]

It is an Easton

Huzzah!
