Wolf, might possibly be the best umpire in MLB.. Im not jock sniffing...if you want to learn how to work the plate.. just watch his plate games... super smooth...  And for the life of me , i can not

We have a few umpires that don't use an indicator and invariably at some point in the game they twirl their index fingers together (asking me for the count). I used to bail them out, now I :shrug:

PU is responsble for the count. If you aren't going to use an indicator, don't use your partner as one.

If you'd ever worked with me, you'd definately consider me a team player...without the sarcasm. I just get tired of the air of superiority of those that don't use an indicator. They say it makes them a better umpire (doesn't that mean that those that do use indicators are lesser umpires ?). And some suggest that those of us that use an indicator are less focused...
