OBR:

With R1 on first and R3 on third, the offense attempts a double steal. The defense gets R3 in a rundown between third and home. During the rundown, R3 is obstructed by F5. R3 makes it back to third safely, but R1 is tagged out between second and third.

a. The ball is dead immediately upon the obstruction.

b. The ball remains live after the obstruction.

c. R3 is awarded third.

d. R3 is awarded home.

e. R1’s out stands.

f. R1 is placed at whatever base he would have gotten without the obstruction on R3

a, d, and f. Ball is dead immediatly because of the play (rundown) and R3 is awarded his advance base. All other runners are awarded the base they would've earned had no obs occured.

These are the answers I gave and several other umpires told me I was wrong. I believe they had OBR and Fed confused
