Long story short. I had to turn back all of my weekday games for the month of March. So far I worked 2 9 y/o AAU games which were nothing special.

I'm looking forward to my 2 adult wooden bat league games tomorrow. Hopefully not too much rust.

I finally have my first varsity game next Saturday.

Must be nice...I haven't even had the weather nor the time in the last 2 months to consider playing golf let alone ball games, other than basketball. With all the rain we've got lately, fields will lucky to not be mud when the HS seasons start, let alone scrimmages.

I didn't think I'd get many games at all this year due to my schedule. I'm only able to accept games in the evenings on any night but Wednesday, plus morning games on weekends. I figured all the high school games would be gone, due to them starting at 4pm.

However, at the last minute, my wife advised me of some open weeknights, so I opened those on Arbiter. I ended up getting 17 games, most of them week night evenings and Saturday morning games. I had to turn back 5, but I've got 12 on the schedule.

I'm happy. I didn't think I'd be lucky to get 10 games scheduled this year. The first game is Wednesday.

My first regular season game was scheduled for Tuesday, work got in the way so I had to turn it back. Thursday is now opening day for me.

I have worked about 20 school games so far and about 10 left on the schedule. Hopefully there will be some add ons. Then on to Rec Ball.

Things went pretty well I was a bit tight on the zone I think. Had 2 situations which needed selling and I did.

I feel did better than I was expecting considering the rust factor.

Jax, I know what you mean man. They have condensed the season down so much it is crazy how quick it is going by. Plus we are using the power point system which all the coaches are always on the frenzy to get games in so they can build those points up for seeding in the playoffs. This year started out like mush with rain but has had some beautiful weather this past two weeks in which I have called some great ball. But Ive also been calling since 2nd weekend in January doing the Junior High leagues...
