Freshman Football score

Freshman game just ended. 13-3 through third with VT cruisning until the walls came crashing down. Bottom 6 ended HT up 22-13. Top 7 VT scores 6. Final 22-19 in a blistering 3:05!!!!

Thank God almighty I wasn't alone today!

Middle school game ended 17-15 in 2:50. Last inning (bottom 6-top 7) took 50 minutes.

I've got to work on my game management. I (stupidly) left it up to the players to decide.

As a side note, VT manager announces in the bottom of the 6th that he's re-entering his starting pitcher who's currently not in the game. I looked around the field and decided if I inserted myself into the situation this would absolutely become a 4 hour game. HT manager doesn't say anything. Play on!

I didn't do the game, but my Little League has heard plenty of whining after a Juniors game ended 24-2.

Wasn't there a CWS final a few years ago that was 21-14?  Triggering bat controls.

You should talk them into time limit games.  Nobody gets better in those disasters.

12u All-stars game the other day, teams played a DH, game 1, 17-11, game 2, 6-3.  4 hours, 11 innings, 20-19 in total runs.

Southern Cal and Arizona St.  

SC edged em by a touchdown.  

The previous years before that year LSU had some high scoring CWS games.  150 pound middle infielders slamming the ball 400+.  Bats needed to be addressed.

 

Sorry about your game hill.  Those suck for ALL involved.

It was pretty ugly all the way around. Partner called a round plate (no corners) all day and there were a ton of walks.But he did seem to like the shoulder high pitch. Several errors didn't help either. Knew it was going to be a bad day when I had not seen or heard from my partner 15 minutes prior to the start. Then after I put on my plate gear and started toward the field I see him walking from another lot. Then had to go back and change and everyone thinks I was late. Then our pre-game consisted of partner saying "I don't run much so let me know if you want me to cover anything,"
