Why is this play called safe so many times at all levels? (LL, Travel Ball, MS, HS, College, and MLB) by the BU. Why if challenged and the coach talks the BU into asking the PU's, do the PU's (overturn) and rule safe so many times, especially from 90+ feet way if they cannot get up the line do to other runners on base. What do PU's from that cab ride away see that is so """"obviously wrong"""" about the BU call of out.

Also why do all the coaches go along so often with the safe call from the BU or when overturned by the PU. This is just like a runner tagging up and starting to "lean" towards taking off but has not left the bag yet. Just because other parts of the body are in motion does not mean that foot is off the bag or lost contact with the bag.

I can't answer for the frist three levels you mention, but I don't see what you describe at the last three levels.

Don't you have a 1:00 ball game? You better be a gittin on your horse and moving that way.
