There have been 23 perfect games thrown in MLB. There have been 36 World Series go to game 7. Would you rather have the plate for a perfect game or a game 7. Don't forget to give a reason why.

I have reasons for both:

 

Perfect Game - It can happen anywhere at anytime in any game..  There is no preparation for it.  You don't realize the importance of what is going on probably until it's 2/3rds complete.

 

Game 7 -  You have been selected as part of the WS Crew and already know what the game rotation is going to be weeks in advance.  You have plenty of time to prepare and become as completely focused as needed.

 

My choice - I would be completely happy with either assignment "In the Show"

Perfect game.

Guaranteed pressure every time and it builds as the game progresses.

In a perfect game the entire crowd home or away seems to always cheer for the pitcher (no matter if he's the visiting pitcher or the home pitcher) throwing the perfecto.

The defense seems to amp it up a bit on each play too. In a perfect game every play matters in a way that's different from how every play matters in many WS game 7's. (or so it seems)

Aaahhhh, such a power trip compared to something you know is going to happen, like working in the WS.

Why can't I have a perfect game in Game 7, decided by a walk off in the bottom of the 9th? Doesn't have to be either/or.

Doing the plate, I may not notice that the perfect game is on until very late, so though I wouldn't feel under any extra pressure I may not have clear memories of it later. Game 7, I got picked to do it rather than it being a random result.

Since I know its gonna be a perfect game, I  might unintentionally help that outcome. I don't want to do that, I'd take the WS game 7.
