Anyone know of any sales on shirts/places to get them cheap? I'm on a budget but I'd like to get a powder blue and a black shirt cheap so I have enough left to get a black long sleeve. Something like the Honigs sale on 2010 shirts would be perfect if they had my size.

Thanks.

Not the same company as 10 years ago BUT they do make 5XLs and 6XLs that fit me.

Good luck with officials choice. Poor customer service.

Umpire-Attire is the best!

I got some last year.  They had ZERO stretch, they were heavy, and rough on the skin.  The collars were terrible and wouldn't hold shape after the first wash.  Needless to say, they were donated to the local little league.

Oh yeah, they ran like a size and a half too small.

I have never had to deal with OC CS.

I had every one of these issues with their re-issued shirts (after loving one of their jackets), so I demanded a full refund, and sent back a once-washed shirt whose collar looked a year old, and a brand-new shirt I had merely attempted to try on, but was absurdly sized. I also gave the guy the appropriate lashing for exploiting a once-proud brand by charging a premium price for a slipshod product.

And my experience came when they were charging $32 like Honig's or Majestic.

Here is where I get my shirts now.  With the free shipping, it would be around the same as the +POS, but WAY better quality.

That's the best place to get Smitty shirts, including the new pro-style. He reps for Purchase Officials, and is a top-notch seller.

So I'm going to get the Smitty, but I heard they're HUGE. Would I be better off going to a small, even for the plate?

Also, I've heard their jacket sleeves are short. Anyone else find this to be the case?

The new Smitty pro style runs larger than Majestic (which always run large), and much larger than Honig's (which are always unpredictable). I wear an XL Majestic over the gear, but a large Smitty fits about the same. So Size down for base with Majestic, and size way down for base with Smitty---in the pro style.

Their high school style line runs only slightly large.

Well ...........

in 2012 Smitty changed all of their sizing ..............  Smitty, like all others is sized for the plate.  There XL currently, is sized like their 2xl was pre-2012.  That said, they are generously sized for the plate.  Currently an XL Smitty's works nice and comfy for the plate, but it's only a tad large for the bases, so it works for me.   However ... I could also get a large for bases and XL for plate w/ the Smitty's.   This goes for their regular shirts, and MLB knock offs (IMHO)

One issue with this though, is that you don't always know what sizing run you are getting when you order.  Shortly after the change happened, I ordered a Smitty shirt from Ump-Attire and ordered an XL being mindful that the sizing had changed (and I believe U-A's page listed these as the new sizing).  What I got was an XL on the label, but no way was it oversized at all, for me it can only be worn on the bases and it does not fit very loose, it actually seems smaller than the rest of the Smitty XL's I had purchased previously.

Not disputing any information here, just relaying my personal experience.  Granted, this was almost 2 years ago and perhaps the old stock has sold through the chain and this problem no longer exists.  And to clarify a majority of my shirts are Smitty, so I am not trying to discredit the brand in any way.

Mike, this is true, I dont' doubt this at all!  Your experience was probably based on the transition period of their sizing, and the stock that certain retailers had on hand at the time.
