From the stands - Check with the catchers, if the noise is coming from the stands. If they don't know who it is, then the other one usually does. This loud mouth is at every game. I get the 'inside scoop' from the catcher and chuckle at everything that the knuckhead says. Makes for great conversation with F-2.

From the dugout - depends on the level. - usually a 'coach, that is enough' works either verbally or with the evil eye

From the field - gone

I have never had a game that needed cops at it, but I have been there watching or coming in for the next game where we get to see the boys in blue.

I was once forced to ask a varsity baseball coach to have an opposing team's fan removed for extremely loud profanity. He called the sheriff's department. The jackass was summarily removed from the vicinity.

Based on the sitch on the op. if coming from the dugout. 1st time a good stare coupled with the stop sign is in order. 2nd time someone is going to have the night off.  If coming from the stands I would ignore unless it gets threatening or profanity is used.  This is especially true from the level I work. I'm still perfecting the trigger pull timing but nevertheless this is what I would have done.
