and if you keep doing the games then the "teenage alternative" won't get the experience and wont get better.

(and the "you" is meant to refer to all who work that many, not to be an indictment of ricka)

No offense taken and really couldn't agree more. :kissass:

4-5 hours on a ballfield is plenty for me.

Maybe I should resist my assignors taking advantage of my generous nature.  :violin:

But assignors have a tough job, :jerkit:

These emoticons are a hoot :rollinglaugh:

I worked six straight games one time.  I have plantar faciitis and when I did the six games I weighed in at about 190.  Way too heavy for 5'10 IMO.  I could barely walk after the second inning of game #5.  After getting in my car at about 11:00 I was nearly in tears because of the pain.  I had to be up for an 8:00 game, but when I got home I spent 3 hours in a cold bathtub.  Keep in mind, I was 22 at the time (Couple months short of 24 now).

I worked about 10 tournaments this year.  All but two of them had six games Thursday-Saturday and three on Sunday.  My partner and I got another guy and did the 2 on, 1 off deal.  That is a godsend.  I now won't do more than two because the third is painful and I don't enjoy being out there for that long.  Hell, I won't even do any games before 10:00 anymore. Waking up at 6:00 (or earlier) to stretch, eat and get to the park 45-1:00 early is not fun at all.  I enjoy doing this, but I don't enjoy it that much.
