Bat on 3BL...

What is the forum's take on as a "courtesy" the PU moving the BR dropped bat away from the 3BL or batters box while runners are advancing home? Any rules for or against this?

If I have time, I will use my foot to ease it out of the way. If I do not have time, I don't worry with it.

If I can I always try and clear the bat from the playing area if I think it may cause a problem.

Dang it, I learned an acronym for this at school and can't recall it.

 

Basically, if you have the time and don't have to be watching something else (fair/foul, catch/no catch), you should move the bat.
