What is the ruling in FED FP Softball for a "Bunt Foul Tip" caught by catcher with a count of 0-0....OUT? The only thing I found was NFHS 7-2 | Sect 25 | Art.3, making a bunt either foul or fair, is this correct interpretation?

I have no Idea why he went ballistic. I didn't consider it.
-
I did, but you have the typicals who like to complain when they are down on the scoreboard. Thanks guys.

Rather than backing out of the box they went across the plate past the other box towards the first about 20ft. The defensive manager went ballistic, so I just needed a reaffirmation of my call.
-
No, completely out of the play by 20ft.

Had an issue at Home plate that I need feedback on. R3, R2. Right Handed Batter is in the box when the pitch is made, pitch get's by catcher on the 3rd base side of the plate, R3 is stealing home. Pitcher is coming into cover home plate. Batter get's out of the box moving to the opposite side, First Base Side, is the Batter out? My call was not out, she left a congested area as a play was being made at home to avoid interference. Feed back

Batter Hit by batted ball off plate...then rolls fair
CATMAN replied to CATMAN's question in Ask the Umpire
He was in the box, but the back foot came out of the box on the swing. -
RH Batter chops a ball off the plate....ball bounces off plate and hits batter, then rolls down 3BL fair. In addition to this, on the swing of the batter, the back foot comes out of the box and his foot steps on the box line....approx 3/4 of the foot is out of the box. Would you consider this a Foul or Fair ball?

Right here folks, is why ump-attire.com is the best place to purchase your gear. On that note, I placed an order last Friday and received it in the mail today. I have NEVER had a poor customer service experience w/ ump-attire.com Similar note, orderd May 17th at my door right now via UPS. Customer service is a solid 2-thumbs up for Ump-Attire IMO.

Is sliding head first into an advancing base legal in LL Jr. Division? I see where in LL Majors and below it is not. Can you point me to the Rule # if it isn't allowed?

What is the forum's take on as a "courtesy" the PU moving the BR dropped bat away from the 3BL or batters box while runners are advancing home? Any rules for or against this?

Pitcher Wearing Batting Glove under Leather Glove

I know I have seen this somewhere, but can the pitcher wear a "white" batting glove under his leather glove? Correct me if i am wrong, but i think he can only wear a black batting glove under his leather glove. What rule # is this so i can look it up?

Just wanted to drop a line being new to UE and say what an informative site. Hope to gather alot of knowledge.

That's what I thought the call would have been. Thanks Sent from my SGH-i917 using Board Express

Want to see if we are on the same page on this call. Runner on 2B (R2), BR hits a shot over the CF head. R2 rounds 3B and heads for home. F2 comes out of catchers box and gets on 3BL about 10' from HP. R2 is half way home before the ball leaves F8's hand and has no way of reaching F2 to make a play before a relay. In an effort to avoid a "Train Wreck", R2 starts to slide through F2. (F2 still doesn't have the ball) and R2 crawls to touch HP. Since R2 made it safe to HP no call was made. My question is was F2 obstructing R2? And if R2 happened to run over F2, while F2 was on the baseline, would R2 been considered out on MC call, even though the ball was yet to be relayed to F2? R2 made every attempt sliding (even though it was short) and avoid F2, would he have had to make an attempt to slide if F2 was truely OBS? R2 has the right of way to the BL doesn't he? Touchy call glad I didn't have to make.
