I have been an avid Nutty Buddy user for the past 4 or 5 years...ever since I heard about it.

I love it. The only issue I have had is that the red rubber ring on the outside comes loose. Right after they were sold to Battle Sports last year, I got a free replacement for my Nutty Buddy and now the same issue is happening to the new one. I have tired super glue and epoxy. Both provide a temporary fix, but not a long lasting one. I actually called Battle a couple of weeks ago and they contacted Mark Litrell and he reccomembed Epoxy...which was the best solution, but only lasted a couple of games. He told me that the NB had been slightly redesigned and that the rubber ring issue had been solved.

Not sure what the effect of losing the rubber ring would have, but I am afraid that it would rub a hole in my compression pants. (Before someone asks, I wear my compression pants...then the nutty buddy...then a nutty buddy jock to hold everything in place)

Now that NBs have been distributed, I noticed that Amazon is selling them and it was prime eligible. So I bought one. When it came in it was redesigned. They are now black and grey and smaller than the original. Due to my height/weight combo...mainly the weight...I need a mongo according to the sizing chart. The new NB appears to be about the same length, but the wings on the side have been shortened and does not appear to be as tall if laid flat on a table. (this new design might work better in the compression shorts that Battle has put out than the original...just a thought).

Has anyone else used both NBs...new and old style? I am going to call them tomorrow and make sure that my NB was not sized incorrectly. I actually like the new design better, I just want to make sure that I received the right thing.

Any thoughts...anyone else have the red ring issue that I have had?

I only have the black one and have not had any issues with it.  Seems like the rubber ring is necessary, I wear mine correctly but wouldn't want to try it without the ring.

Sounds to me like you are using one that is 3 times to big.

Have had mine for about 300 games no issues. I have the white one.

Ok Just checking. I know I have the right size. Just interesting. I wore the first one for several hundred games before it game off.

We will try the black one I guess. I measured it last night. It is the same length as the white one. Just not as deep.

I have the white one and the red ring has come loose three times.  I have epoxied it twice and need to again.  I have prime, so maybe I'll give the new one a try.

Edit:  Just ordered and there was a $4.99 discount so it was less than $22 shipped with prime.  Interesting that the recommended sizes have changed.  When I ordered mine a couple of years ago, the size chart recommended a mongo, but now it recommends trophy (up to 6'2, 210 - I am 6'1, 195).

Try washing the cup in the dishwasher (just don't let SWMBO catch you)  before you try to re-glue the ring, you may have better luck getting the epoxy repair to be permanent.

The new one looks like it is manufactured a bit different.

When the lady at Battle called me back after talking to Mark, she wanted to know if mine was the old or new style. Evidently the ring coming off was an issue on the old (white) NBs, but it has not been an issue on the black ones.

I have a three game playoff series this weekend not sure if I will have the dish yet, but hopefully I will get a chance to try it out this weekend.

The ones they sell on Amazon are a package deal with a NB Jock.

It is $24.95. UA sells the same thing for $27.99. But with prime you are not having to pay shipping. NB sells just the NB for $19.95. I figured paying $5 for another jock was not a bad deal...considering NB wants $15 for them.

I might try that next time. It will make sure it is cleaner before applying the glue. Epoxy is just a mess. Hard to do it cleanly. At least for me.
