I went to the MHSAA (Michigan HS) Officials Banquet tonight... I am in the MHSAA "Legacy" program with a mentor official, so we were recognized tonight. It was very cool, I got to meet Mark Uyl, went up front and announced my name, sport, and high school I attend, and even got a nice certificate.

I also took a picture with the guest speaker in attendance, NFL referee Jeff Triplette.

Before the banquet, I was working a JV double header... There was confusion initially and I had two different partners. Oddly enough, the first partner was also at the banquet, receiving an award for thirty years of service.

He shook my hand afterwards and told me that he had no idea I was still in high school, and that my field presence was that of a tenured veteran. :wow:  He went on to tell me I really should continue on in baseball, and work on advancing to the college level or even one of the schools in Florida. :beerbang

Pretty schweet!!
