FED - Intentional Base on Balls

Me to my rules interpreter :  "The language in B clearly makes that answer incorrect"  My RI: "What, are you a f^&king Englsih teacher?  The answer is D!"  End of discussion.

If the grammar makes the choice incorrect, then it is relevant. I am my group's RI and I agree B is wrong so that makes D wrong. 

When I take the test I think about the history and why they are asking the question. At one point you had to ask before a pitch, so B would be correct. To me, given the history, it is impossible for D  to be correct.

We had several of these types of questions. I hate the authors. Probably not umpires at all and have no clue how in depth we get in understanding the rules. Words like 'shall, must, always are very strong. As in this case, that little word 'must' makes a correct answer incorrect, yet they judge it correct. :bang:

Got to love the FED test - read the question, read it again to catch the wording tricks they put in, read it again to make sure, ask on an internet forum for clarification, answer the question.

And then get it wrong because they didn't read the tricky words themselves. I know I got it wrong.
