i dont mind blue...now if they say "blew" than i have a problem

IT really varies by area.  I've been in some spots where it doesn't matter at all and its used in a really sort of friendly way no different than "mr. umpire" and Ive been in other areas where if it was said it almost lead to an instant ejection.

 

Personally I don't really care about the name as much as the tone its said with or the adjective in front of it but that's just because I grew up in that kind of area.

I disagree. While I try to use a coach's name as much as possible, there are times I change it to Sir. Saying "Sir" is a sign of respect, not authority over you.
