Nice! I'm able to work one game every Saturday inside a domed facility. The "field" I'm put at has the home plate in the corner of the dome too, so it creates for all kinds of ground rules problems with balls hitting the dome...

 

For example the ball that would have made it to deep left that went a mile high, hits the dome, bouces down right on the 3rd base line halfway between home and third, and then bounces foul. Foul ball. Coach didn't like that one much.

 

Then there are the balls that go straight back and you just have to hope it doesn't bounce off the dome straight back at your skull.

 

And yes, the dome is probably only 40-50 degrees on good days, but working solo allows me to run around the diamond a bit.

 

It gets me games when there is 6 inches of snow and it's 10 degrees, so you won't see me complaining!!

 

And motoump, if you keep making comments like that, we might just have to revoke that Made of Brass award you earned!!

I had a friend on Facebook post pictures of one of his kids playing baseball on a travel team in the KC Chiefs indoor facility at their training camp location (St. Joe, MO).  It is actually at Missouri Western State University, but I think the Chiefs paid for most of it.  It was 12-13 year-olds I think.  They had portable mounds, backstop, and fence.  It was kind of cool.
