Shirt Fits

Fellas,

I've read a few topics on this but I wanted to try to get a more exact answer. I've been wearing the Majestic MLB polos in both carolina blue and black. I LOVE the fit of this shirt as I have a lean athletic build. Well now I have to grab some cream, scarlet, and navy polos and of course they don't offer these colors in the Majestics.

My question is, can anyone tell me which polos have a comprable fit to the MLB Majestic polo? I HATE having a polo that fits too big. I feel sloppy, like I have my old man's shirt on or something.

I know a lot of polos come roomy to accommodate a CP but I need something with a more athletic cut.

I hope that makes sense. I just don't feel like ordering 6 diff polos in diff sizes and going broke sending stuff back that doesn't work.

Learn how to sew. I wear a M on the bases and a L on the plate in Smitty. Jump 1 size on other brands. Now on the plate my shirts are baggy on the sides. I take in the sides on my plate shirts for a tapered fit. Investing a $99.00 sewing machine or take your shirts to a tailor.

Best thing to do is measure armpit to armpit of your favorite shirt and contact some of the usual suppliers and ask them to measure some of their standard size shirts. Then order the shirt that comes close to that measurement.

Fitts makes a great point but be careful. You can buy a shirt that measures well on the sides but is soooo tight in the shoulders it will be hard to put on...
