There ain't enough umpiring talk on FaceBook!

Hey Fellow Umpires.

This site was mentioned on another board a couple of weeks ago and I've been checking out posts ever since. I’m psyched to be part of a new group and hope I’ll be able to positively add to the discussions and other material here.

From the Boston area. I have a 12 year old and a 7yo in LL, have been coaching and umpiring for several years (coaching more than umping at this point). Very little formal training but will be attending an ASA clinic (12 hours total) in January and a 2-day LL clinic in Bristol in February. Looking forward to managing my son’s last year in LL (small diamond), but also have developed a love for umpiring.

Well, just wanted to get the introduction thing over (kinda like a plate conference or something). Thanks to UIC - obviously a lot of time and effort has gone into the site.
