Now THAT is interesting. I like that you can change out the packs. I may give those a shot for football this year.

And they come with 2 sets of pack so you have 1 on and 1 on ice. That's the part I like.

Each vest seems to take 4 packs for max cooling, am I reading that right?

So you would need 8 packs to keep 4 on and 4 in ice?

This looks like a great system for those 100+ degree days behind the plate. Invisible and easy to reload between games.

Danny, per the website, the vest holds four packs at a time and each vest comes with two sets of packs, for a total of 8 packs per vest.

I really like how streamlined this is.

I got my order from UA yesterday. We went from 40-50 temps last week to 84 today. I tried my rite-temp pad under my WVG today. It was awesome to say the least, I felt great and peppy! I didn't even feel it move or know it was there. I do wear my WVG tight in case your wondering. My chest was cool to the touch.

 

I had a near hit last year. I had a froggtogs towel on my neck, pouring water all over me and a coach who grab a beach towel that he soaked with water every half. It was scary to say the least! I finished the game but I was totally spent. I had coaches offer me a ride too. I sat in my truck for 1/2 hr with a/c on full blast. I drove 10 minutes home and sat in front of my house for 40 minutes with my truck running with a/c on before I went in my house. Very scary and this happened to me 3 years before. Believe me when I say that I was hydrated.

 

As said before about the pads being cheaper than a ambulance ride. My health is worth it and I feel it makes you better. You are in comfort and that goes a long way.

I saw these vests last summer after I got heat stroke. I went with the rite temp pads and tried them last week. I couldn't keep them from slipping down. Any solutions other than velcro? I even had zippers put in my shirts like Rapuano to switch them out.

Sewed a 9" strip of Velcro laterally on the top seam/trim so I wouldn't puncture the padded section.

Most of the strip just hangs there because the adhesive doesn't last, but there is enough surface area to hold the pad.

Does anyone have any experience with the OP? It looks like a great alternative for the bases, football, soccer or lacrosse.
