Okay my record is not so good in the least, but I am not picking the easy games or the games nobody really cares about (with the possible exception of ECU). Even there as a homer I've incorrectly picked them to loose before.

It makes me sick to see those people who were picking the Texas & Oklahoma games early in the season acting like they have some great insight, but as of now they have nothing on the Big 12 game of the year:confused:

There are a number of great games this week so I'll start with the biggest.

Texas vs Oklahoma. Both of these teams have to prove something to me, I've been saying they're both overrated since they haven't played anybody. If neither plays well I could even see the winner of the game loosing ranking. I wish I could say this game will live up to the hype, but I'm concerned it won't. I will pick the favorite here Oklahoma they're at home and I like their QB Bradford better. This could be a high scoring event.

I pick ECU to go to Hooville and put a real beating on the Cavaliers. Skip Holtz has 2 losses in a row and has had 2 weeks to get his team fired up. Big emotional win for ECU 14+ points to get them back on track.

LSU over Florida. This game means less than it historically has, but will still be a good game Florida while not as strong as in the past always plays tough at home.

Here's my upset pick --- Clemson beating Wake Forest on the road. Clemson has to win this game to get back in the ACC fight. After Thursday their schedule looks all down hill and they could take the ACC Atlantic division to play for the championship and get a BCS game if they can win the ACC.

Bonus Pick -- UNC over Notre Dame. Who would have thought this had a chance to be an interesting game? Notre Dame has been on a slide for a long time, and UNC has never really played good football. While I am picking UNC a ranked team to win over an unranked team I think these teams are very well matched in terms of talent and where their entire football programs are. I bitched when ECU beat Virginia Tech about the announcers saying it really wasn't an upset. Well this is how I feel about this game.

Dude, I hope so. Every game you guys lose makes us look more like %$^& for blowing that game in Charlotte. So here's the emoticon needed for this game....:wow:

I'm not convinced this is really an upset pick, if only because no one in the ACC is making a clear case for themselves. Wake losing to Navy almost compares to Clemson losing to Maryland, at this rate. I think I would take Clemson here, but not call it an upset.

(But if Clemson is our opponent in the title game - and yes, I think VT is the inside track for the Whatever Division - I think we beat them. I know we haven't looked as good as in the past, but holy cow, I'm no longer as troubled by the rest of our sked, given the way games have played out. I'd say BC next week is the toughest one, based on what I've seen to date.)

Well, ECU over Va Tech is looking more like an upset, unless you guys start winning again, and I have no problem with that. Again, if you get back into the Top 25, it makes us look better, considering it's our only loss at this point.

UNC winning is, and isn't, an upset. ND is the nationally known quantity, and can get anyone they want when recruiting, while UNC can't. That would make it an upset. On the other hand, ND hasn't been that impressive against an equally unimpressive lot of opponents. So UNC should win. Regardless of how you look at it - Go Heels!

Well ECU won't see the top 25 again the rest of their schedule isn't impressive including Marshall they'll have to win by 20+ points each game to make it back to maybe 25.

0 for 4, not a good week for picks UIC. :wow: I picked Texas and NC. I had no opinion on the other two. On the other hand, the NFL was pretty crazy. The Redskins played like crap and lost a close one. Baltimore took the #1 defense and proceded to look like Miami from last year.

Hey, I went 1 & 4 with my bonus pick. I picked UNC over ND. :) Otherwise I picked crap. :WTF Wanna win big bet against me...

Clemson, I've now got all of their Kool-Aid out of my system. They cam play St. Mary's school for the deaf and blind's JV squad and I won't pick another Clemson game.

ECU, I have no clue, UVA is not a good team, and too look bad against them...:wow:

LSU, I'm sadly disappointed not only that they lost but that they got spanked. But this furthers my point about the SEC being the best football conference. All teams play tough and anything can and will happen. LSU is a team which has historically depended on having a good offense and a dominate defense had a Big 12 defense show up.

Oklahoma, What can I say they were, and still are completely over-rated. Which isn't saying much for Texas, who is also over-rated. That Texas is now #1 having beaten an over-rated team but proved they have no defense. There has to be some conspiracy against 'Bama being #1. They've played a much more demanding schedule than Texas. That being said, 'Bama is heading into an easier part of their schedule other than LSU, while Texas is playing a much tougher part of their schedule. And that doesn't account for over-rated Missouri (who has probably the easiest Big 12 schedule). But I did say:

This could be a high scoring event.

Knowing that neither team could play a real defense.

I also said:

If neither plays well I could even see the winner of the game loosing ranking.

I'm rather disappointed they didn't. If Texas had put up a defense against Oklahoma, I'd be content with their ranking.

For what ever reason the voters are in love with the Big 12 as conference - and they are good - but highly overrated, especially the Big 12 South.

I want the BCS title game to be 'Bama, who should win the SEC to play whoever wins the Big 12.

Personally I think the whole ranking system is horrible. The think the BCS is just as bad. I really enjoy watching college football but stay out of the rankings. I think a buddy of mine said #1,#3 and #5 all lost. Should tell them they don't have a clue what they are doing. Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't the #1 has lost three weeks running. :wow:
