Clinic on plays at the plate

I saw this live on MLB TV last night. Jerry Meals deserves an award for the mechanics on this call. This is what is currently being taught in terms of lineing yourself up with the catchers left hip to follow a play.

Tough call and spot on.

You may think with him not being set isn't the right thing but to make the call he needed to continue to pivot. Not ideal, but you have to play with what you're dealt.

Too bad when umps make fantastic calls they aren't hilighted like the questionable ones are.
