13u R1 on 3rd R2 at first. Team at bat winning by 13 in 4th so I won't get into the fact of why he is still stealing on a team he way outclasses. Passed ball a little behind catcher R1 coming home catcher gets ball throws to pitcher. R1 slides and pitcher dives on TOP of him to make the tag and then slams his mit into his back pushing him hard back into the ground. I let coach know pitcher is ejected for malicious contact with runner. Coach tries to say they are only 13 it is a tough play blah blah blah. then as he walks off just wants to know the out still counts correct?

Certainly a HTBT situation, and I am sure frustration at getting their azz handed to them contributed to the situation greatly. YOU were there and took appropriate action, good job.

Edited to add - What a perfect opportunity for the OC to show some class and hold his runner at third. Ball put in play, certainly allow your runners to run the bases. Passed ball, allow R1 to advance to second, but no need to pile on by sending R3 home. Sure, F1 was wrong in what he did and mmahnke maintained order with a good toss, but IMHO, the azzhat in the third base box caused this.

Mmahnke - what you should have said is "R1 is out, F1 is ejected for MC and third base coach is also ejected for being a jackass...lets play."

my partner should have tossed 3rd base coach because what I did not see that he did was when I was starting to explain to pitcher's coach why he was gone and was handling the situation he came on to the field and started berating the pitcher i just caught as he was walking off the field after he was told to stop by my partner. He asked me afterward if he should have run him and when I found out the details I said absolutely. I was handling the malicious contact and he should not have been getting involved as he did.

wow - my post was a little "tongue in cheek." Now, not so much...

Anyway, you let that MC go with a warning or nothing at all, I'm willing to bet your game is out of control by the next inning or so.

Good job of controlling what you have the ability to control.
