Unfotunately many people are ignorant of flag procedures. As with many things kids should learn in school, this is another subject that has fallen by the wayside. I am the local expert in my arena on what to do with our flags. I have chosen not to wear a flag on my uniforms because most do wear it on the back of the shirt. I find it amazing the number of times that businesses that fly it wrong and and it is almost always wrong when shown in a movie. The worst was my son was in a ROTC competition and they had a huge flag in the gym that was backwards. I didn't even walk in the gym when I saw it. I mentioned to three seperate instructors, all military, and they hadn't noticed.
