I was watching the ALCS when PU (Tom Hallion) issued a warning to the benches after a couple of pitches were inside with one almost hit Kinsler's head from Alburquerque of the Tigers. I thought it was uncalled for and a little quick. No way was F1 throwing intentionally at the batter IMO. I guess he was doing it in case the Rangers though about retaliation. Thoughts about it?

Also, I kind of liked Leyland's reaction to it. He just looked away and waved his hand. As if to say, "Who cares. Let's just go on with the game."

PU's opinion differed from yours.

Legal. :angel4:

Perhaps there is some blanket instruction coming from MLB to nip potential problems in the bud this post season?

I'm ok with the warning. Given the fact you have a pitcher on the short end of a 10 plus run deficit, in an elimination game who just threw some chin music...gotta issue warnings to keep things under control.

I would rather be quick on a warning than have a guy wacked in the head. As far as Leland's reaction, I read it as him saying it was BS.

My answer is: That's just the way it is. Just accept it.
