Hi everyone, my name is Dave and this is my first year umping. My neighbor asked me to help coach his little league team and before I knew what happened we also signed up for umpire duties. I didn't realize how much I didn't know until I went to a couple clinics-WOW!

I really enjoy umpiring and have done only about 13 games so far. I look forward to doing this for a long time. Thanks for having such an informative forum.

Dave, are you sure you know what you're getting into? This is like a drug, once your on it, you can't just get off of it. Best thing I've done (3rd yr now) in my 30 years on this planet though, you'll learn to love it one way or another.
