Everyone for replay should like this one. Otherwise it would have been just like Richie's call and McKean probably would have been ejected. No win situation and many times the umpires cannot win even with replay.

I am not a fan of replay but I don't have the present use of replay for boundary calls. This is an obvious interference call and would have likely been caught. At that point it becomes a God call, what would have happened minus the interference and in this case West had an out. The Phillies manager knows he can't argue the review but he felt he was arguing the interpretation of calling the out. That is arguing the review, but creative in his mind.

I don't know how Manuel ever gets ejected, I know he probably says the magic words but he doesn't even look pissed. The umps even look like they hate to do it.

Because you can't argue a review, Joe told him so and he got tossed. In the greater scheme of things, not a horrible ejection, but by rule.

That douchbag manager Wally Backman who went off on the amateur umpire while managing the South Georgia Peanuts in some Independent League, will join the Mets on Sep. 20th. Wonder how long before he gets ejected with only about 9 days up? He was the Mets AA manager this year and is being brought up at the end. Maybe Joe can have a run in with this dirtball.

Oh yes, it doesn't look like Hagerstown in the SAL will make the playoffs for you MST, but Frederick will in the Carolina League.

Great article dumbdumb, thanks for posting it. Though I'm sure Phillie fans (which I'm not) will no doubt cast doubt upon it since McKean wore the Uniform for so many years and was a former supervisor.

Let's hope Mr. Selig's office does the right thing and bounces the protest where it belongs.
