My dad has them and he swears they are the most comfortable things on Earth. He does a lot of legion ball.

I liked having my Wilson triple knee guards, and most recently my Wilson charcoals. I doubt they are as comfortable but I feel safe in them.

I can't personal vouch for their protection, but I know a few people who wear them and like them.

Maybe somebody on this board has personal experience?

I am going to do a future review on these but here are some of the pros and cons I have with these particular leg guards.

Pros: Comfort, Protection, Price

This particular model is very comfortable. The inside padding is very soft and the straps are made of a very soft and stretchy material. I am also a big fan of the non-metal latch system these use rather the old metal J hook system. The protection on these are as good as any others even with a single knee, you are well protected. Also the instep protector is velcro so you can remove it. I liked that. I got this pair on closeout for $40. Not a bad price for an item of this quality.

Cons: Bulkiness

I am not a big fan of the 2 strap system. Con #1 is that this model has those extended ankle protection guards that go way down almost touching the ground even with a high top plate shoe. Without a strap down low those things begin to protrude out to the left and to the right like wings. I had to affix some velcro and get some straps just to hold that part in place so that it didn't look like I had wings growing out of my plate shoes. Con #2 for me was not having a strap behind the knee. This model removes the gap from knee guard and leg guard and there is like a fabric hinge that allows the knee to flex backward without exposing a gap. When I would go into my scissors there was nothing holding this knee pad in place so it just continued to protrude up and did not move with the curve of my leg because there was no strap holding it there. Again, I had to affix so velcro with a strap so that I have something behind my knee. Both of the issues make me feel that this is item is one of the bulkiest leg protectors.

All things considered for $40 these are not bad but I am probably going to revert back to my good ole Wilson charcoal guards and see if any of the boots in our association wants to take this pair off my hands.

Kristoffae,

How long have you had guards ? I would be interested in hearing what you might want for these guards, I've been thinking about buying these myself.

Shoot a price back at me
