Wilson or All-Star HSM

I had posted some questions regarding HSM. One company that I forgot to consider was All-Star. Does anyone have any preference between the Wilson HSM and the All-Star HSM? I would take any opinions and reasons. Thanks.

If you have a large head, 7 1/2 to 7 3/4, you might want to consider an Easton HSM. I've tried the Wilson and the Diamond and they were both way too small for me.

Do they have umpire models, or did you just get one of their "catcher's" models?

I'll be coming back in the spring after a 15 yr lay-off, and I'm going to give an HSM a whirl.

I found an All-Star MVP-2200-SL for a steal on eBay!

Now, I was never a fan of the HSM because you never saw someone w/ a cap on underneath it, however, I've found you can wear a cap, so I'm going to give one a shot.

It's comfy, light, and has great vision ....I'm looking forward to it!

All-Star has replaced the MVP w/ the System 7 HSMs .....

I have never used a hockey mask but I do have a friend who does. he has a wilson umpire model ( i dont know the model number ) and he loves it. his only complaint is that no air gets in and it can be very hot.

My shock fx does not have the same airflow problem. In my experience this past season, it is actually cooler to wear it that it is to wear a cap and a traditional mask. I have not tried wearing a cap under my shock, and I do not think it would fit. My head is 7 1/2-7 5/8.
