It just came to me: it’d be really cool if all LL umpires, (not coaches who HAVE to tend to umpire duties) who are located in the same general area, to kind of create their own groups of two or three and travel around local leagues and do what they love doing. I find it frustrating when I have to umpire with a coach who: a) doesn’t want to be there, b)doesn’t take it seriously. Also, it’s kimd of boring not having family or friends interested as much as I am.

I was hoping I could get some crew signals. I have a few basic ones, but I would like some more. All I know now is: Infield fly situation: Hand to the chest with the right hand or finger to the brim of the cap. Time Play: Hands out to the side with two fingers out. "I've got third": Right thumb and pinky extended waving back and forth. Anything? Thanks

A thought came to me the other day and I thought it would be fun to post this ........ Name your Umpire-Empire Dream Umpire Crew (6 man). Pick 5 other members of Umpire-Empire to be on your dream crew. This could be used as a 2,3,4, or 6 man crew, and extras could rotate in and out for tournaments, etc ..... [mostly because 5 additional people is easier to choose from than 3!] Here is the only rule: You CANNOT name yourself crew chief, .... your CC must be someone else ON EDIT: I've changed this to only have ONE rule (above) I'm still thinking about mine, but until then ... GO!!
