Thanks Mad Mike however F3's heels were on the foul line therefore ALL players were in fair territory.. I think its a smart move fro a right handed first baseman to align himself that way he is more likely to make the tag providing the stars all align....

Mad Max you were Spot On regarding answer #2.... I actually laughed ... Maine Ump Those were my thoughts on the situation... I appreciate the responses.. I was curious that I may have missed a hidden rule...

I use it with the compression shorts that are made for the nutty buddy they are made by BATTLE. The best protection I have ever owned. also the most comfortable. Highly recommend it. I took a foul ball directly to the cup this year in a high school game ... my mind said I was hurt but after a deep breath I was pleasantly surprised there was no pain... lol

Can any one tell me if there is a rule that would prohibit F3 from straddling the bag on a pick off play at 1st? F3 heel are on the foul line one foot on the home plate side of first and the other foot on the right field side leaving actually more of the bag exposed fro the R1 to return to the base than if he was in t he traditional position? Had this in a game this week I didn't see anything wrong with it but the VTHC was not impressed with my decision...

I watch the fielders throws F3's catches also the pitchers motions while he's warming up...

I know it was obstruction the Coach called it interference ... I posted it like that for effect... and yes he wanted R2 awarded home .. lilleaguer that exactly what I did .. Thank yall for the replies... it was the bottom of the 7th inning in a tie game ... the coach was doing all he could to get a "W" .. Thanks Again

Senior Little League Game.... Umpiring by myself Runners on first and second... Batter hit sharp ground ball to F5 who bobbles the ball too late to make a play at second or third he starts his motion to throw to first but realizes he's too late for that as well so he holds the ball. HTHC who was third base coach comes to me states that he has interference at third his runner had to step around the third baseman to get to the bag... I did not see that how ever I was also looking at the shortstop to see where he was going with the play. There was no chance for a play at third base, I doubt I would have awarded him a base anyway. I advised the HTHC there was not going to be an interference call. He wanted to get sideways about it but quickly settled down but was obviously aggravated. Any advice on another way to handle that situation?

I wanted to give a shout out to Wilson for the Shock FX 2.0 Hockey style mask. I recently (well 6 months ago) had neck surgery and I own one of these helmets. Initially at the beginning of this season was concerned about the weight of the helmet on my neck. I have not had any issues with the weight. Last Night I took a foul ball off the bat directly to the center of the mask. The shock absorption was PERFECT. I had my bell rung however this morning my neck isn't even sore. The mask absorbed the shock just as they say it would. I am impressed with the mask!!!!!!! Great Job Wilson!!!

They have "shoe bags" available they are inexpensive. I have my mask in one and it seems to work well.
