Not sure what RBKs we are talking about, but I have used the Mid Plate Magistrates and just bought the Zig Plates. Loved my Magistrates, but they are out dated. I will still wear for lower level games and rainy days. My new zigs are unbelievably comfortable. Tried on the NB 450 for comparison... BLAH! RBK all the way baby! do you find that the RBK's are narrow? i wear new balance tennis shoes cause there wider. r-

unfortunately these are Reboks. too narrow for my feet. thanks..! ron-

where's that? ron-

Hi everyone. i've been studing hard..! so i got a smokin' deal on some equipment, and am now looking for the outer wear. pants in Charcoal, my waist size is 36-38" and inseam could be 32" Shirts in XL, black is perfered, but dark blue is ok. shoes: size 11 (plate) (since i'm just starting out, i found some equpiment on craigslist. for $40 bucks, i got a (all ITECH) CP, Shin Guards, Mask, 2 indicators, plate brush, and an 6 rib hat. yes i know its not the best equipment... but after i get going i'll purchase better equipment by either an equipment package, or piece it out.) as for socks, i was a soccer referee, and was thinking of wearing those under my shin guards. What do you think? Thanks in Advance, Ron-

i talked to a board member of the long beach cbua this morning.. seems the association fee does not include the insurance. oh well.. dallas did mention that pay was $73 per game now. ron-

High School.. the association i'm entering has the clinics, but after jan 14th. i'll look in the so cal area and see what i can find. thanks for asking, I wanted to thank everyone for their input.. again totally appreciated. ron-

which is the exact reason i'm studying early and asking questions here now. because i know i don't know the rule(s). ron-

though i'm a rookie here.. i would think that even thou it hit the rubber, the picked up ball is.. fair, and maybe fielded to 1b for an out. hahaha.. but what do i know.. ron-
-
i feel like an idiot asking all these questions.. so please bear with me. the explanations, and the video are all appreciated believe me. ron-

OK.. wow.. and all this time i thought wrong.... darn..! thanks! oh.. and thanks for the video.. very in-lighting.! ron-

Case: BR (book states B1) hits a hits a fly ball that comes down on foul ground, (A) between home and first or (.b.) beyond first. In each case before it has touched anyone, it rolls into fair ground first, where it is then fielded or lies on the ground. Your Ruling for.. A & B. i'll post what the nfhs case states.. but i think the book (or PDF which i have) is wrong. a: fair ball b: foul ball. my point..? the ball in each case has landed in foul territory first, then rolled into fair ground.. isn't this a foul in each instance? ron-

there was no runner on 1b., if throw was correct batter would have been out, but since the ball was overthrown it went into the 1b dugout. i guess what i'm asking, is would the batter be given an award of one base, placing him on 2b. OR an award of 2 bases, placing him on 3b. ron-

thanks for the replies. i totally appreciate 'em..! ron-

by the way.. i wanted to thank all of you for your help.. and not flaming me for my amaturish questions. ron-

R1 at plate, shortline drive to L-center.. F8 sprints to intercept gets the ball on one-bounce and overthrows into 1st base dugout trying to get the out at first. Under this condition, R1 would get one base (not 2), correct? ron-

hahaha.. no problem here..! i only played baseball for two years when i was 9 or 10 years old.. basically i was just asking about the ncaa. i'm 58, i doubt they would take me even if i went to a pro school. guess i got started a little too late. BUT.. i got here.. ron-

hi everyone, just curious, i'm just getting started, and was wondering how long it'll take me to get to the ncaa level. (now that i think about it.. it depends on me and how i progress, correct?) (btw: i really like this site.. i've learned a lot reading my manual, but get the real life stories here..) thanks, ron-

well.. i see that i posted this in the wrong thread.. and i was going to delete it and repost this into the 'free for all' thread, but there is no 'delete' button by the 'quote & multiquote' buttons. am i missing them ? ron-

as most of know i'm going through the 2012 nfhs manual in preperation for the upcoming season. (yes i know i'll need the 2013 manual). good think i'm starting early..! some of the case studies for the base running awards are confusing.. hopefully i'll be able to remember 'em in the heat of the moment. Back to Reading..! ron-
