Happy New Year! Question for you all - I'm getting out of umpiring (for good this time) and I have a TON of uniforms and gear. Should I list each item or package it together?

@VelhoThanks, Brother!

I know this could be construed as heretical, but I've given back my state playoff games this year. Our area has been so short of umpires that I've worked 6 days a week for the entirety of the high school season, and frankly, I'm mentally and physically spent. I'm flattered and humbled that enough coaches thought highly of my work to ask, between the regular season workload and the abhorrent behavior of players, coaches (not all), and parents I simply need to call it a season and get some rest. Anyone else feeling this vibe or is it just me?

Not to be contrarian here, but in my humble opinion, if you need to look at your indicator, look at your indicator. If you need it in the field, use one in the field. I personally don't care what it looks like if I have the correct count and number of outs.

tcasterlin replied to tcasterlin's topic in Buy, Sell or Trade
Two pair of each. The 40's are poly-spandex (more stretchy fabric all over) and the 38's are traditional poly-wool. Both have the expander waistband. -
I have 4 pairs of pants that I can no longer wear. Smitty charcoal grey plate and base pants, size 38 and size 40. They all have about 2 inches of room to alter, they were altered to about 30 inches in length. I will email pics if interested. $20 each plus shipping, Venmo only.

Mark Wegner (MLB #14) Wearing A Skully
tcasterlin replied to SeeingEyeDog's topic in Umpire Equipment
UPDATE - Well, I've taken 3 more shots to the mask/helmet area, and I'm more and more convinced that the skully is my newest, bestest buddy, LOL. Also, I saw an MLB umpire with the logo on the front of his skully, so I had a friend of mine make a vinyl sticker of our association logo for mine...will post a pic when I put it on... -

Mark Wegner (MLB #14) Wearing A Skully
tcasterlin replied to SeeingEyeDog's topic in Umpire Equipment
I pulled the trigger and purchased the All-Star skully about a month ago. I let it sit in my bag for a couple of weeks before I finally wore it. I love it! I took a shot direct to the mask yesterday (Wilson Dyno light with memory foam), and literal felt nothing but the pressure of the ball against the mask. I do get some looks from coaches when I walk out to the plate meeting, but I'm sold on it. I've also worn a HSM for years, but I like wearing a regular mask and the skully much better... -
