They changed it before they went to pitch count ( to be the same as FED) but then changed back so it WOULD count against the pitch count.

Chanting is part of softball (subconcious desire to be cheerleaders?). Draw the line at taunting though.

Why do we need a consensus. Just read the rule: 7.08 Any runner is out when— (e) He fails to reach the next base before a fielder tags him or the base, after he has been forced to advance by reason of the batter becoming a runner. The manager was upset because he is a member of the very large group of people that think you have to touch the base to get a force out. So as part of the discussion you have with him should be to let him know what the rule really says. He may not believe you at the time but he'll look it up.

The manager at the plate conference doesn't even get enforced in professional ball. Don't bother at LL either. BTW - (see 2.00) a manager can designate duties to a coach.
