what about the umps wearing a long sleeve shirt under a short sleeve, looks tacky, but who am I to judge...LOL I was watching the game right now is MEXvsPR and I happen to think the HP is not very strong. He had a very big zone and I just thought that maybe cause it was a pretty big series that these guys were the cream of the crop. But like i said I should not judge.

This is so funny, I had this exact play happen to me in a D-III game. Its the 3rd inning and the crappy job the home team did on chalking the batters box the lines are now gone. In the 1st inning the batters had dug in right at the bottom of the box, So i had taken notice at this...no big deal.. Well in the top of the 3rd inning R2 no outs, the lines are no gone and I had a CI play, i called it, let the play happen it was a ground ball to F4 who threw to 1st for the out, well I called time awarded the BR 1st for CI, made the runner stay @ 2nd ( cause there was no force on the play). Well the HC wants to ask me what had happen, So i told him and then he wants top point out that the batter was out of the batters box ( but like I said these guys had dug in a hole and this batter had his back foot in the hole) So he was legally in the box ( or where it would have been) So I told him we had CI and he said that the batter was out of the box and I tried to tell him that the batter was in, and his guys were standing in the same spot. Well he was ok with the call after I explained it to him. Sorry for the long post, But i think its funny that this was asked.. So with that being said..... I have CI...LOL:HD:

I actually thought it was a good call... that catcher was trying to retire the runner and on the batters back swing his bat hit the catchers mitt. To me it was a easy call.

Here is one that I missed on the test... R1, R3. With a left-handed pitcher and a three umpire crew, when F1 attempts to pick off at first and a balk should have been called on a illegal step, which umpire has the primary responsibility for making this call A. The plate umpire. B. The replay booth. C. U1. D. U3. I said that the U1 has this call on a illegal step and in the 09 CCA it says the same thing... but I got tit wrong.. I dunno

Dave, im with you, I think a lot of umpires don't call balk's maybe they are scared or don't know them or don't want to have to explain to a coach, me Shoot I will call them when ever they are there. But i will tell you the only time I don't want to call a balk is if there is a runner on 3rd and its late in the game and the score is close or even tied... and only cause the outcome of the game.. but then again if it one of the really obvious calls then im all over it.

Stan at 1st i was thinking the same thing... holy cow look at the logo on the chest. But I thought that down there they don't have as much money as we do here, So they need the advertisements to make the series work. Was it ugly, hell yes but I guess it does not bother the players and that's is why they are there...So play ball..LOL did you see the batter's Interference call in the 2nd game?... good call you just don't see it very often.

Well them call me a joke if you want... I fereeze my stuff after every game... Here in Missouri it get pretty humid, and to get rid of that smell I use it. I also clean my stuff about every 2-3 weeks. My shoes.. Well I was in the army and shine my shoes by hand with Kiwi before every game.. they looks nice and clean every game. I also do this with my base shoes..
