Little League - runner hit by batted ball

I can't get the answer to this out of the rule book. Either my English comprehension needs work or the rules are as clear as hog slop:

A batted ball strikes a base runner, but after it passed an infielder (i.e., the runner is not out). Is the ball live or dead after it strikes the runner in this case?

It is live, but I dont have the LL rule number for you.....

The intent of the rule is to not put the defense at a disadvantage it the runner is hit. If the runner is hit with the fielders playing in, infront of the runner, then the ball hitting the runner does not create a disadvantage.

...and the runner has to be in proximity of the fielder, if F3 is in on the grass and F4 is standing on 2B, R1 gets hit halfway to 2B, he's out, dead ball.
