This is one bizarre year. A ton of rain, then the rain went away for a while, but I got sick, even turned in one of my games. Now I'm back at about 50% and today I'm supposed to have a vendor take me to a game at the local AAA affiliate, and It's raining again. I cant even get to a game as a spectator  If your in an area suffering from draught have my commissioner schedule me in your town, or hell even invite me to see a game in your local area. A few weeks ago I went to visit my mother and planned on seeing a game near where she lived and it rained then.

I'm supposed to have a game tonight, the second to last scholastic game on my schedule, but we'll see.

The ball season has not even started here in Canada. Teams are JUST getting out on the fields.

It will be 2 more weeks before we call PLAY!

So consider yourself lucky to have done some ball despite all the rainouts.

But I'm not bitter.

Okay maybe I was being too pessimistic and I know I'm grumpy from being sick. We got the AAA game in, I left at the end of 6 to get back here to work, just a few sprinkles, hopefully it will hold out for my game tonight. I think a few good baseball games will be my cure.

Watch out Larry, I'll be passing through NJ once 7/13 & again 7/18 on my way back. Your weather forcast is rain...

BTW I also got my game in yesterday, but working the game did not help me feel any better. I'm off today (baseball, not work I've only called out from work 1 time in 10 years) and plan on just going home and taking some PM meds a FCAB or 2 or three and watching my Orioles play the powerhouse of KC until I drift off.

7/12 was a beautiful day and I worked a summer college game and a LL-jr district championship.

7/19 was also a beautiful day, but my wife had control of my schedule and there was no baseball for me.

7/18, it poured in the morning, but I had nothing scheduled because of the real boss.

Ran into a little rain today, but not enough to stop the games. Thanks for leaving your storms at home.

Oh well that's the great thing about being a weatherman you can be wrong all you want with no accountability. If I were wrong in my day job or even forbid umpiring as much as weathermen I'd be out of work.

Hey all,

WAIT A MINUTE!! I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK!!! Ok, not anymore I don't, but I used to be a weather forecaster when I was in the Air Force. There is a BIG difference in military and civilian forecasters. MOST civilians are/were guessers, military guys and gals aren't.

That being said, TV WEATHERMAN ARE THE WORST!!:D:rolleyes:

Bigdog:cool:
