This is kind of funny ...and this is posted on the UMPIRE EJECTION FANTASY LEAGUE website (good stuff over there) ....and it includes a hypothetical situation surrounding a scenario like this video.

Well ....while watching the video ....I noticed, ..WOW...talk about a banger at first!! No arguments .....but in watching it really really slow....I don't know, ...what do YOU think? What do you have? The regular slo-mo is towards the end of the video and easier to 'stop' and try to get a screen shot........

Wow. Seeing that brings to mind the myth about a tie going to the runner were true. That's about as close as it gets. I still think I would have an out there.

Wow. Seeing that brings to mind the myth about a tie going to the runner were true. That's about as close as it gets. I still think I would have an out there.

It isn't really a myth now that the rules have been tweaked for consistency. The play at 1B and a force play used to be opposites. Now they are the same.

IF there is a tie it does go to the runner.

Problem is that the possibility of a tie is practically 0.
