SeeingEyeDog
17 hours ago, The Man in Blue said: Could it be the Yankees have run out of any goodwill from the umpiring staff? After more than a century of baseball, I still do not understand why pro coaches and players think they can say and do as they please to the umpires and then get equally incredulous when they are ejected. I didn't understand it when I was 5 and I don't understand it 47 years later. I guess that's why I never made it to pro ball. I respected the umpires too much... Hidecki Matsui never once got ejected but, I distinctly saw him frown at umpires on numerous occasions...we can disagree without being disagreeable. I would enjoy hearing from anyone who has ever played or coached at the MLB level, if they could write the OBR what in their opinion would be probable cause for an umpire to eject a player or coach? And I am allowing for all the ejections where a coach or player deliberately gets ejected as what they perceive to be a "strategic or tactical maneuver"... ~Dawg
